Or, what would it take to get more people involved in documenting an Open Source library?

When I first got involved with the Indy Documentation project, it was because I thought Indy was a great tool... and such a great tool needed better documentation. Over time, the quantity and quality of the documentation has improved. But the number of contributors has never quite reached the level that I expected.

I've generally attributed that short-coming to the fact that far fewer people are interested in writing documentation than writing code. But I also suspected that the process might have been too complex (or just plain tedious). We'd like to do something about that... but we're not quite sure (yet) exactly what that something would entail.

We do know that we'd like to make the process more interactive.  We want to make it more accessible too.  So, in general, what would it take to get more people invloved in  documenting an Open Source project?

We'd love to have your your feedback.  You can voice your opinions on the Indy Docs discussion group at Yahoo.com (registration required).
