I've recently read about many issues Indy Users had when using OpenSSL binaries posted somewhere in the Internet.

As our latest SVN version supports using native OpenSSL DLLs you could use any dlls you could find. In Theory. But let me explain why there are several issues around using other binaries and how to circumvent them.
